Records double-double Tuesday Payne accumulated 13 points (6-8 FG, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds and one assist in 19 minutes during Tuesday's 68-45 victory over New Haven.

Impact With Godswill Erheriene (foot) out again, Payne made his fifth consecutive start Tuesday. He put together a strong performance in the win, recording his first double-double of the season with season highs in both points (13) and rebounds (11). He did not add any blocks to his tally though after recording 11 across the first four games of the season. With no clear timeline for Erheriene's return, Payne is set to stay in the starting five at least until his teammate is back healthy.

Committing to Seton Hall Payne has committed to play for Seton Hall for the 2025-26 season, per VerbalCommits.com.

Impact Payne will join the Pirates following two seasons with Jacksonville. The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 8.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per game for the Dolphins this past season. The former Incarnate Word transfer will retain a single year of eligibility with Seton Hall.
