Impact Cason made his first start since Dec. 6. He had not played more than 19 minutes in his previous seven games, but set season standards in rebounds and blocks in the loss. The 6-10 sophomore may have earned more minutes going forward with his productive game.

Impact The 6-10 sophomore made his first start of the season as the Pirates tried to contend with Michigan State's size. After scoring 14 points in the opener, Cason had scored a combined 12 points in the subsequent four games. He will likely return to the bench on Thursday against St. Bonaventure.
