Impact Ongenda blocked Seton Hall's game-winning, buzzer-beating layup attempt. His impact cannot be overstated, as DePaul has looked revived since Ongenda returned from a serious wrist injury. He's averaging 12.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.3 steals and a whopping 4.6 blocks per game over seven contests this season.

Impact Ongenda has been on a tear since returning from a wrist injury that shelved him for DePaul's first 25 games. Ongenda's monster double-double nearly fueled a comeback-win over No.10 ranked Marquette. The senior is averaging 9.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.5 steals and an astounding 5.8 blocks in four games this season.

Impact Ongenda finally made his 2022-23 debut after dealing with a wrist injury, and he had a major impact at both ends of the floor. He averaged 8.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 23.9 minutes for DePaul last season, so he should play a significant role down the stretch now that he's healthy.

He's currently at the early end of the originally-established 8-to-10 week timetable, but likely needs some time to practice before being game-ready, and there hasn't been any update on the alleged early-week evaluation. The only, vague report that has been released suggests Ogenda's last check-up didn't go as well as anticipated, which could extend his timetable. The 6-10 senior could create a formidable tandem with fellow 6-10 senior Yor Anei in the post for the Blue Demons, but expectations should be tempered until an additional update on his health is provided.
