Hopeful to return at UCLA Oregon head coach Dana Altman said he's "hopeful" to have Bittle (ankle) healthy for Saturday's game at UCLA, James Crepea of The Oregonian reports.

Impact Bittle suffered an ankle injury last Tuesday against San Diego State, and he's now been sidelined for back-to-back games as a result. The senior big man will hopefully be back in action in an upcoming away game with the Bruins, but Altman didn't seem convinced that Bittle will be 100 percent. The fifth-year center has averaged 16.3 points and 7.8 rebounds across six starts so far this season.

Impact This was certainly a little too close for comfort for the Ducks, and the fact that star guard Jackson Shelstad wasn't available certainly didn't help. Nonetheless, Bittle did lots of the heavy lifting, pulling down a team-leading 14 rebounds, swatting four shots and hitting all six of his shots from the charity stripe, which turned out to be huge in a one-point game. He'll look to improve his efficiency moving forward, but this was a big-time performance from Oregon's experienced big man when the Ducks needed it most.
