Active in practice Sissoko (knee) participated in individual drills during an early-October practice, David Jablonski of the Dayton Daily News reports. Impact Sissoko's freshman season with the Flyers was cut short due to February knee surgery, but he managed to appear in 15 games before then, posting 1.3 points and 2.5 rebounds across 8.9 minutes. The fact Sissoko was doing individual drills more than three weeks ago bodes well for his availability, though the report did note that he wasn't necessarily in the group speculated to be the team's starting five. Mustapha Amzil appears to be the current favorite to start at center, with Georgia transfer Toumani Camara occupying the four and Jordy Tshimanga -- who was a full-time starter last season for Dayton -- also in the mix. That doesn't leave a ton of minutes left for Sissoko, but Dayton fans should get a better idea of his usage and availability in a Nov. 1 exhibition matchup against Cedarville.
