Strong outing in win over ISU Miles piled up 19 points (6-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, five assists, and a steal in the win over Iowa State on Saturday.

Impact Miles and R.J. Nembhard led the way on the offensive end once again for the Horned Frogs. This is the eighth time this season that Miles has notched at least five assists. Other than Cade Cunningham, you could argue that Miles has had as much of an impact as any freshman this season in the Big 12. TCU will get Texas Tech on Tuesday.

Impact Miles is emerging as one of the top scoring options for the Horned Frogs, but his momentum was derailed a bit when he was forced to sit out Feb. 9 due to an ankle injury. The freshman ended up taking on a full minutes workload Saturday while reaching double figures for the third consecutive contest. While the outside shooting was a bit rusty, he should get a pass after going up against one of the top defensive teams in the conference after a 10-day layoff.

Impact Miles will return from his one-game absence Saturday after battling an illness. He'll look to stay productive, as he's averaging 14.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 0.7 steals over 32.4 minutes per game this season.

Impact Miles' return is confirmed, though it remains to be seen what role he will have. He had started 12 games in a row before missing out Tuesday's game against Iowa State, though, so he should return to the lineup. He is averaging 16.3 points per game in that aforementioned 12-game stretch.

It all started with a 21-point effort against Oklahoma back on Dec. 6, and the freshman has started every game for the Horned Frogs since. Part of the issue Tuesday was volume. Miles racked up 48 field goal attempts over his last three games, but only took eight shots Tuesday -- his lowest since Dec. 3. Things won't get any easier in the immediate future, as TCU draws one of the country's better defensive teams in Baylor on Saturday.

Draws start after big game Sunday Miles will start Wednesday's game against Providence, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.

Impact Miles will be getting the start one game after he popped off for a team-high 21 points off the bench against Oklahoma. The freshman has impressed early this season and it looks like now he will get his chance to start for the Horned Frogs.

Miles is definitely pushing for a starting spot and it may come sooner rather than later if he keeps up this kind of play. TCU will play Providence on Wednesday.
