Doubtful for season opener Panoam (toe) is doubtful for Xavier's regular season opener against Marist on Nov. 3, Rick Broering of 247Sports.com reports. Impact Panoam sustained a broken toe earlier this offseason that has left his status for Xavier's season opener in jeopardy. The 6-foot-2 junior transfer from North Dakota started in 33 games last season, averaging 13 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 0.9 steals on 28.2 minutes per game. Head coach Richard Pitino stated on his podcast earlier this week that he expects Panoam to start to the back of the guard rotation until he works his way back up to speed, stating that it'll be up to him to play his way into a bigger role in the backcourt.
