Departing Gainesville
Handlogten will enter the transfer portal, per Joe Tipton of On3.com.
Impact
Handlogten spent the 2025-26 season as a bench piece for Florida, averaging 4.1 points and 5.9 rebounds across 14.8 minutes. The 7-foot-1 center has experience as a starter, like during the 2023-24 season with the Gators when he started all 32 games. He'll have one more year of eligibility remaining at his next stop.

Scores 10, grabs nine boards
Handlogten totaled 10 points (5-7 FG), nine rebounds and three assists over 18 minutes during Friday's 114-55 victory over Prairie View A&M.
Impact
Because of the blowout nature of the game, Handlogten received extra playing time. None of the Gators starters played more than 25 minutes. In the second round, Iowa should provide a somewhat greater challenge for the defending champions. Handlogten's playing time should be reduced.

Handlogten totaled 10 points (5-9 FG, 0-2 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one block in 21 minutes during Tuesday's 108-74 victory over Mississippi State.
Impact
Handlogten started for Thomas Haugh (undisclosed) and had his most productive game in SEC play. Handlogten had two points and five boards in the Valentine's Day win over the Wildcats.

Snags two takeaways in win
Handlogten chipped in two points (1-1 FG, 0-1 FT), five rebounds, one assist and two steals across 17 minutes during Saturday's 92-83 win over Kentucky.
Impact
Handlogten didn't do much on the scoring front with just two points over the Wildcats, but he made a mark on the defensive side of the ball with two steals and four defensive rebounds. The senior big man remains a consistent rotator behind starting center Rueben Chinyelu at this point in the season, and he'll continue to get meaningful playing time if he consistently holds his own against tough squads like Kentucky.

Scores 10, grabs eight boards
Handlogten registered 10 points (4-4 FG, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds and one assist over 17 minutes during Wednesday's 102-61 victory over Saint Francis U.
Impact
The backup center received a few more minutes because the game was a blowout with the Gators commanding a 24-point lead by halftime. The 7-1 senior opened the season with a pair of double-doubles, but has found production hard to find of late. Prior to Wednesday's game, Handlogten had only averaged 1.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in his previous six games. He may be a player to watch on Saturday against Colgate.

Returns from head injury
Handlogten (head) chipped in two points (1-1 FG), one rebound and one steal in 13 minutes during Thursday's 84-80 loss to TCU.
Impact
The seven-footer played did not get the offensive opportunities he had earlier in the season when the starters accrued fouls. He will likely score more than two points in future games, but his playing time is dependent on the Reuben Chinyelu and Alex Condon.

He's averaged 7.5 points and 8.8 rebounds on 15 minutes per game across the first four showings this season.

Impact
The Gators' frontcourt depth was challenged against Miami. The team was without Handloten as well as Alex Condon and Rueben Chinyelu fouling out, the team had to hold on. After opening the season with a pair of double-doubles, the 7-1 senior has been held to two points and nine rebounds in his last two games. He could return Friday against Merrimack, but his overall production will be sporadic.
