Impact The Rebels fought valiantly against top-seeded Auburn in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals, but ultimately fell short in a five-point loss. As for Dia, he had a rough go of it from the field, hitting just 3-of-11 shots. He still patrolled the glass to the tune of seven rebounds, but he was coming off a 19-point showing in the previous game. Ole Miss will need its big man to be more efficient if it wants to make noise in the NCAA Tournament.

Impact Dia only played 19 minutes against Auburn, and while that's right around the forward's average of 20.4 minutes, his playing time has fluctuated significantly on a game-by-game basis. Still, he averages 10.3 points and 5.6 rebounds as a consistent contributor in the Rebels' front court.

Impact Dia had shot the basketball extremely well in the several weeks leading up to the Rebels' clash with Texas , but he put up a dud against the Longhorns Wednesday night. No matter for Ole Miss, as it still pulled out the win, and Dia's steady performance this season - especially during SEC play - is enough to rule this an outlier.

Impact Not only did the Belmont transfer set a new career high in rebounding compared to his 13-board effort from earlier this year, but Dia also set a season-best scoring total. He's been incredibly productive for the Rebels in conference play, averaging 21.0 points and 11.3 rebounds over his past three contests.

Impact Most of Dia's fantasy value comes from his rebounding, so it was a welcome surprise for fantasy managers for him to produce his first 20-point effort of the season and best total of his third collegiate season. With the victory, the ranked Rebels squad improves to 2-0 in SEC play.

Impact Dia attempts 6.4 shots-per-game, and averages 6.9 points. That's not the most efficient number, especially for a 6-foot-9 forward who spends most of his time around the rim. Dia's 5.3 rebounds are solid, but he hasn't been all that effective statistically for the Rebels' early in the 2024-2025 campaign.
