Lassina Traore - College Basketball News & Rumors | FOX Sports

Expected to log full-contact work Traore (knee) is expected to log full-contact work during either July or August, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Impact For basketball activities, Traore was expected to be mostly cleared by June. As of July's first day, the jury may still be out on that, but it looks like he will be available for games before this summer comes to a close. All this would finally mean Traore fulfills his long-wanted intention of playing under head coach Sean Miller, whom the former followed to Texas.

Will miss 2024-25 season Traore will miss Xavier's 2024-25 season due to a knee injury, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Impact For the second season in a row, Xavier's team will be significantly hit by an injury bug to begin a calendar campaign. This time, it is Traore, who recently transferred to Xavier from Long Beach State. The good news is that he can redshirt Xavier's 2024-25 season and maintain a year of collegiate eligibility. The bad is that the earliest Traore can play is late-2025. That leaves the Musketeers with Zach Freemantle and John Hugley remaining at their center position.
