Impact Thornton started in 26 of his 29 appearances during the 2021-22 campaign but started in just 17 of his 30 appearances this season. Despite playing off the bench more frequently, his production still improved, as he averaged 8.8 points, 5.3 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 29.0 minutes per game. He'll attempt to seek out a new program after spending three years at Northern Illinois.

Don't expect the funk to last too long, as he had been averaging 13.3 points and 6.7 assists in his 10 starts prior to last week's unexplained absence.

Impact Thornton had started the last 10 games for the Huskies and logged 37 or more minutes in each, averaging 13.3 points and 6.7 assists over that span. It's unclear who might taket he reins at point guard, as Keshawn Williams had previously been starting over Thornton but hasn't appeared in a game since Jan. 7.
