Impact Bean exited Wednesday's game against Weber State with an apparent ankle injury and it looks like it's heading right down to the wire as to whether he'll be able to go against Iowa. The 6-7 senior has far and away been the Aggies' best player, averaging 19.6 points and 11.1 rebounds in 34.1 minutes per game. His status will certainly be worth monitoring ahead of Saturday's tip-off.

Scorching hot start Bean racked up 24 points (8-11 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 19 rebounds, three assists and two steals over 39 minutes during Sunday's 73-70 win over Oklahoma.

Impact Bean is putting up the numbers of an All-American while the Aggies are off to a 4-1 start that already includes a signature win over a power conference team. The senior forward is averaging an astounding 24.0 points and 13.8 rebounds, with double-doubles in all but one contest. This production hasn't necessarily came out of nowhere, as Bean did average a double-double with 11.9 points and 10.5 rebounds back in the 2019-20 season, though his counting stats did dip slightly in the pandemic-affected 2020-21 campaign. Bean is back in top form, however, and it's not even as if he's been beating up weak competition, as Utah State has already collected two Quadrant 1 wins.
