Impact Abson has a fifth year of eligibility, so he'll add some depth to the Demon Deacons' frontcourt in 2026-27. The former Appalachian State and Georgia center spent the previous campaign at Georgia, where he was known for his defense. He's averaged over 1.5 blocks per game in three of his four seasons in the college ranks.

Blocks and steals, as well as his rebounds and assists, are exactly what Abson is in the game to do and after two consecutive strong performances, he may have earned himself more minutes down the stretch of the regular season.
