Has fire night in win Roberts recorded eight points (3-4 FG, 2-3 FT) and three rebounds in 23 minutes in the 69-57 win against Butler on Tuesday.

Impact Roberts had a rather good performance in the win Tuesday. The forward has not had a significant impact so far this season, but did set a season-high in points. He also added a few grabs as well, but not enough to make up for the lack of points. He did however go 75 percent from the floor in his attempts. If he can increase his production with his success rate, he will surely be a viable option for St. John's moving forward.

Impact Roberts had been in the starting lineup while Julian Champagnie gets his feet under him. After a couple games have gone down, Champagnie is ready to take over as the starter at center for the Red Storm.

Impact Roberts saw a somewhat limited run in the opener versus St. Peter's due to a shoulder issue, logging 12 fairly silent minutes. His entrance into the starting five Friday should line him up for a larger role in the second contest of the 2020-21 campaign as he takes the place of Marcus Earlington in the starting five.

Impact Roberts did log five rebounds and a block in the contest, but his minutes were down from the 2019-20 season in which he started 28 games. It's unclear if he's still dealing with nagging shoulder trouble, or if incoming transfer Isaih Moore simply beat him out for the position. Moore had a solid opener, posting 12 points and nine boards in the narrow victory.

Impact Roberts underwent shoulder surgery in March, so it's possible that is still an issue for him at this point. Regardless, if he makes an appearance it will be in a bench role for St. John's to open the campaign.
