Nearing return Chamma (leg) will not play in Saturday's game against Rice, Kara Richey of The Ticket Radio reports.

Impact Chamma continues to progress through a fractured fibula and head coach Ryan Pannone indicated he could return between Dec. 12 and Dec. 30. The sophomore guard has been out since Nov. 7 so this is a positive development and could hopefully return for the matchup against Texas State.

Impact Chammaa, who was ruled out ahead of Tuesday's game against Missouri State, has suffered a broken fibula that will keep the sophomore guard out for multiple weeks. The 5-foot-11 sophomore guard from San Diego, averaged 19 points, two rebounds and two steals across Arkansas State's first two games, playing 25.5 minutes per game off the bench. Chammaa's timetable sets him up for a return around Christmas.

Still, he didn't start in either of his two seasons at San Diego, and he'll look to change that with Arkansas State, where he'll have two years of eligibility remaining.
