Headed to Emmanuel College Francis is transferring to Emmanuel College in Georgia, Geoff Grammer of the Albuquerque Journal reports.

Impact Francis originally committed to North Carolina before spending the last two seasons at New Mexico, and he'll now head to Division II to play for the Lions at Emmanuel College in 2022. The guard averaged 6.4 points, 2.2 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 22.7 minutes per contest during the 2020 season, but failed to carve out a meaningful spot in the Lobos' rotation in 2021, averaging just 7.7 minutes per game.

Starting Monday Francis is in the starting lineup Monday against Western New Mexico.

Impact Francis will make his first start of the season. Francis made 11 starts last year for the Lobos and averaged 6.5 points and 2.7 rebounds during those matchups.

Not starting Saturday Francis is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against UNLV.

Impact Francis got the start against Dixie State on Jan. 13 after coming off the bench in the prior two games and will cede his spot in the lineup to Isaiah Marin. It seems as though head coach Paul Weir has been unable to completely settle on a starting point guard between Francis and Marin Francis as the two continue have rotated in and out of the starting lineup over the last four games.
