Impact Cherry, who exited Thursday's game against Mississippi State early in the second half, saw a full workload against the Wildcats on Friday. The 6-foot-11 junior has started in all seven games this season with UNLV, averaging 12.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 1.9 blocks on 24.4 minutes per game. Cherry and the Running Rebels will have some time off before returning to action against Creighton on Dec. 7.

Dealing with apparent injury Cherry played a season-low 19 minutes in Thursday's loss to Mississippi State after suffering an apparent injury, Mike Grimala of the Las Vegas Sun reports.

Impact Cherry played just two minutes in the second half before exiting the game. He was then seen trying to loosen up on the exercise bike but eventually went back to the locker room and did not return. The Lobos are already dealing with injuries to Rob Whaley and Jaden Henley in the frontcourt, Cherry would be another notable loss, as he's averaging 13.7 points and 6.2 rebounds in 23.5 minutes per game this season.
