Puts up 21 points
Bethea produced 21 points (6-12 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, two assists and two steals over 22 minutes during Sunday's 97-55 victory over UTSA.
Impact
Bethea was playing in just his second game of the season after coming back from foot surgery. He played six minutes in his debut against Clemson, but showed that he was healthy in the blowout win. The 6-5 sophomore will play in a more competitive game next Saturday against Arizona.

Makes season debut
Bethea (foot) posted two points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists in six minutes during Wednesday's 90-84 victory over Clemson in the ACC/SEC Challenge.
Impact
Bethea had foot surgery in September. He transferred in from Miami after averaging 7.1 points as a freshman. The 6-5 sophomore has upside if he can prove healthy. He was a McDonald's All-American and a highly sought recruit when he chose to go to the Hurricanes. For now, Bethea will provide the Tide with guard depth.

Debuting against Clemson
Bethea (foot) is active for Wednesday's game against Clemson, per Yea Alabama.
Impact
Bethea will make his season debut as Alabama takes on the Tigers. The sophomore guard transferred in from Miami this offseason, and he could be a big boost for the Crimson Tide in the home clash.

Considered day-to-day
Bethea (foot) is considered day-to-day per head coach Nate Oats, Nick Kelly of AL.com reports.
Impact
Bethea has yet to play this season and was expected to miss a significant chunk of time for the Crimson Tide, as he was in a walking boot and with a singular crutch just days before the season started. Still, the fact that he's day-to-day means he could feasibly return on Wednesday, Dec. 3 against Clemson. The sophomore guard, who transferred from Miami (FL), would be a big boost for the Crimson Tide.

Still in recovery mode
Bethea (foot) was spotted in a walking boot Sunday and is moving around with a singular crutch, Blake Byler of On3 Sports reports.
Impact
Bethea did have a basketball in his hand in the posted photo, but it doesn't look like he's anywhere close to returning to live action. He remains without an official timetable to return, though coach Nate Oats has expressed confidence that the sophomore guard will return this season (and have a meaningful role when he does). In the meantime, look for freshmen Amari Allen and Davion Hannah to take on more responsibility and potential rotation spots.
