Commits to Northern Iowa Smikle is transferring to Northern Iowa.

Impact Smikle spent his first two collegiate seasons at Tulsa, averaging 3.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists across 38 games during the 2025 campaign. The 6-foot-8 forward joins Northern Iowa wi two years of eligibility remaining.

Snags eight boards Smikle posted 10 points (5-12 FG), eight rebounds and two assists in 16 minutes during Tuesday's 111-60 victory over Manhattan Christian.

Impact The 6-8 sophomore started 28 games for the Golden Hurricane as a freshman, but has come off the bench through eight games in 2025-26. His production is virtually the same as his freshman season with 5.6 points and 5.3 rebounds. Tuesday's game was the first in which Smikle broke double digits in scoring. He has not attempted a free throw in his last four games.
