Debuts vs. Long Beach State Ripp (ankle) ended Sunday's 76-72 loss to Long Beach State with four points (2-2 FG), one rebound and one assist over 21 minutes.

Impact Ripp played his first game of the season against Long Beach State, and was largely quiet over 21 minutes off the bench, supplying just four points, one board and one assist. Still, it's good to see the freshman forward take the court for the first time in his career, and he should continue to earn minutes off the bench moving forward.

Impact Ripp hasn't played in a game this season. He suffered an ankle injury during an exhibition game against San Diego State in late October. He averaged 15.2 minutes per game last season but played in just five outings due to an apparent injury. His next chance to play will come Sunday at Long Beach State.

It's a tough break for the 6-foot-7 forward who appeared in just five games for the Toreros last season while dealing with various injuries.
