Committing to Syracuse Dual has committed to Syracuse for the 2026-27 season, according to Jeff Goodman of TheFieldof68.com.

Impact Dual showed his defensive potential at McNeese and guided the team to the NCAA Tournament in 2025-26, so he was more than ready for a bigger challenge. He should add depth and defensive prowess for Syracuse, but his role remains uncertain since he'll have to adjust to a bigger level of competition in the ACC.

Impact Holloway said Dual's shoulder is "kind of messed up right now" but gave no other context on the injury. It sounds like Dual is expected to miss some time which is a significant hit to the Pirates' backcourt depth that's also missing Zion Harmon (undisclosed).
