Returns after concussion Watson (concussion) had two points (1-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and two rebounds across 14 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's 58-38 victory over Southern Miss.

Impact Watson was able to return to practice this week, but the expectation for the junior guard was to come off the bench in his official return to game action. Coach Ron Hunter followed through with that plan, but it remains unclear if Watson will take back over as the starting point guard when the Green Wave face off against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday.

Practices, bench role Wednesday if available Watson (concussion) was cleared to practice Monday and will appear off the bench Wednesday versus Southern Miss if available, Guerry Smith of NOLA.com reports.

Impact Watson logged 16 minutes in the season opener prior to exiting with a concussion, going just 2-for-11 shooting while supplying five points and three boards. The junior will be eased back into action Wednesday if he plays at all but should retake his spot in the starting five in short order.

Not starting Sunday Watson left Tulane's season opener against Lamar with a concussion and is out of the starting lineup Sunday as a result, Guerry Smith of The New Orleans Advocate reports.

Impact Watson took a blow to the head during a loose ball in the opener against Lamar on Friday and was pretty shaken up after the hit. It can be assumed Watson must go through the team's concussion protocol before being able to return to the court. Sion James is starting at point guard in place of Watson.

Eligible for Tulane Watson has received a waiver from the NCAA for immediate eligibility in the 2020-21 season, Jeff Goodman of WatchStadium.com reports.

Impact Watson joins fellow incoming Tulane transfers Kevin Cross and Jaylen Forbes as new additions who have been granted instant eligibility. Look for Watson to slot in alongside Jordan Walker in the backcourt and potentially take on some ball-handling duties.
