Defensive showcase in exhibition Ross tallied 13 points (6-7 FG, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, three blocks and two steals in 12 minutes during Wednesday's 107-59 exhibition win over Lees-McRae.

Impact Ross made his return Wednesday after undergoing season-ending surgery on his right ankle in January. As a freshman, he averaged 1.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in 7.1 minutes across 14 games. Ross is in line to be a rotational forward off the bench this season.

Done for season Ross will undergo surgery Friday for a fractured right ankle and will miss the remainder of the 2021-22 season.

Impact Ross had seen his role grow recently for the Wolfpack, playing double-digit minutes in four of his last five appearances. Unfortunately, the freshman won't be able to build off of his recent success and will instead turn his focus toward rehabbing for the 2022-23 campaign. This leaves the Wolfpack even more vulnerable at center, with sophomores Ebenezer Dowuona and and Jaylon Gibson the only available true big men, and Jericole Hellems perhaps in line to see more time at the five.

Impact Ross was spotted pregame with a boot on his right foot and using a scooter to get around during warmups. He apparently suffered an ankle injury. It's unclear what his timeline is to return to the court.

Impact Ross has been playing minimal minutes for NC State but regardless losing him will still be tough for the wolfpack as they will need all hands on deck in order to beat Duke. Ross will have four days to heal up for NC State's next game.
