Hitting portal
Reid has decided to enter the transfer portal, Tobias Bass of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Reid can be a dominant two-way big man every time he steps on the hardwood, but he struggled with consistency on a game-to-game basis in 2024-25. Still, the former Wake Forest star is a five-star recruit, and the potential is still there. He should command decent interest from several major programs that need to bolster their frontcourt depth.

Decent output in loss to Duke
Reid ended Monday's 93-60 loss to Duke with 14 points (3-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-8 FT), six rebounds and one assist over 37 minutes.
Impact
Reid was one of the few standout performers for the Demon Deacons in a blowout 33-point loss to the Blue Devils. Reid is ending the season on a strong note after scoring in double digits in four of his previous five outings, averaging 11.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.6 blocks per game in that stretch.

First double-double of season
Reid supplied 11 points (5-6 FG, 1-3 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists and two blocks over 37 minutes during Tuesday's 72-59 loss to Louisville.
Impact
Reid was efficient as a scoring threat and notched his first double-double of the season. His production has been down compared to the 2023-24 campaign, but he might be showing signs of turning things around. He's scored in double digits in three of his last six appearances.

In midst of down year
Reid had nine points (3-7 FG, 3-4 FT), five rebounds and one assist over 27 minutes during Wednesday's 80-67 win over Stanford.
Impact
Wednesday's final stat line was right in line with Reid's season averages, but his downturn in production has been difficult to explain. He remains a starter and is getting the same level of minutes, and his overall shooting percentage is roughly the same as last year. He's even getting to the free-throw line more, but his conversion rate at the charity stripe has been inexplicably down nearly 20 points to a brutal 65.9 percent. He was never much of a three-point shooter, but only has one trey made all season. Despite the drop in production, Wake Forest is off to a 5-1 start to ACC play, so it's unlikely any major adjustments are forthcoming.

Solid output in win
Reid contributed 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 37 minutes during Friday's 57-51 victory over Minnesota.
Impact
Reid was dealing with an ankle injury Thursday, but he didn't show any lingering effects from it in this win against Minnesota. Aside from being one of three starters who scored in double digits for Wake Forest, with TreVon Spillers and Cameron Hildreth being the others, he also ended just two boards shy of a double-double.

Returns to game
Reid (ankle) did return to the floor after departing to the locker room with an ankle injury, Les Johns of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact
Reid made a swift trip to the locker room to be evaluated after suffering an ankle injury but was able to return to action. The seven-footer finished with four points (1-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two blocks, one assist and a steal in 28 minutes. He should be expected to be ready to go for Friday's matchup with the Gophers.

Heads to locker room
Reid (ankle) left Thursday's game with an ankle injury and headed to the locker room, per Les Johns of 247Sports.com.
Impact
Reid was a late addition to the Wake Forest lineup after missing the team's previous game with an illness and has now exited the game with an apparent ankle injury. The senior center went to the locker room and can be looked at as questionable to return.

Starting Thursday
Reid (illness) is listed as a starter for Thursday's matchup against Florida, per Les Johns of 247Sports.com.
Impact
Reid previously missed the Demon Deacons' previous game against Detroit Mercy with an illness, but the 7-foot center appears to be ready to go against the Gators. The senior has been an important part of the Wake Forest team this season, averaging eight points and six rebounds per game through six contests as the starting big man.

Out Saturday
Reid (migraine) is out for Saturday's game versus Detroit, Les Johns of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact
Reid is unavailable for Saturday's game due to a migraine. He also only played six minutes -- after logging at least 26 minutes during the first four games of the season -- on Tuesday due to a migraine. His next chance to suit up is Thursday versus Florida.

Solid output in win Wednesday
Reid amassed 14 points (5-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-7 FT), eight rebounds and one assist across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 85-80 win over USC Upstate.
Impact
Reid was efficient from the floor and missed just one shot en route to a solid display. The big man also ended just two boards shy of a double-double. Reid is averaging 9.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per game to open the campaign and should remain the starting center for Wake Forest due to his two-way contributions.

Added to starting lineup
Reid was added to Wake Forest's starting lineup Thursday against Presbyterian, per Les Johns of 247Sports.com.
Impact
Reid being added to Wake Forest's starting lineup was to be expected once the team felt he was acclimated. That is indeed the case if his WF reserve averages of 4.7 points and 8.0 rebounds are to be believed. With him in, Zach Keller is out and may get fewer center minutes to benefit his promoted teammate.

Eligible Wednesday
Reid has received an eligibility waiver from the NCAA and will be eligible for Wednesday's game against Rutgers, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact
A former highly-touted recruit, Reid began his college career at LSU, where he started all 34 games he appeared in, posting 6.3 points and 4.3 rebounds. Reid then transferred to Gonzaga last season and his role took a major hit, as Drew Timme was the team's primary center and Reid saw less than five minutes per contest. He again transferred this offseason and has finally gained his eligibility waiver after initially getting denied, but Reid will now face significant competition for minutes at center with the Demon Deacons. Andrew Carr, Matthew Marsh and Zach Keller have all seen time at the five so far this year, so it's unclear what Reid's role will be in the opener or how much action he'll see out of the gateas.

Eligibility waiver denied
Reid (not injury related) has not received an eligibility waiver for Wake Forest's newest season, according to Jim Meehan of The Spokane Spokesman-Review.
Impact
Unfortunately for Reid, the NCAA's decision means he cannot play college basketball until after its 2023-24 season. Wake Forest has appealed the decision. Until further notice, Matthew Marsh is expected to be Wake Forest's starting center, with Andrew Carr and Zach Keller also likely logging minutes at that position.

ROTOWIRE
Appears to be awaiting eligibility
Reid (eligibility) did not take the court in Monday's 101-78 season-opening victory over Elon.
Impact
Reid is awaiting an eligibility waiver from the NCAA as a two-time transfer, and his absence from the season opener suggests a ruling has yet to come down. Matthew Marsh started in his stead but didn't offer much in terms of production, while Andrew Carr (24 points) and Marqus Marion (29 minutes, zero points) handled the majority of the frontcourt minutes. Expect a similar alignment if Reid's eligibility decision drags on into non-conference play.

Grabs a board in return
Reid (back) closed with one rebound in two minutes during Wednesday's 104-65 win over Chicago State.
Impact
After missing three games, Reid made a very small return in Wednesday's blowout win. Reid managed to grab a rebound towards the end of the blowout. The sophomore center has played in a very small role all season, averaging 2.2 points and 1.2 rebounds in 5.0 minutes per game.

Remains out
Reid (back) won't play Saturday against St. Mary's, Theo Lawson of The Spokane Spokesman-Review reports.
Impact
Reid is set to miss a third straight game with a back injury. In any case, he's not expected to affect many fantasy decisions since he's averaging just 2.2 points and 1.2 rebounds per game across 21 outings off the bench this season. His next chance to play will come Wednesday against Chicago State in what'll be Gonzaga's final game of the regular season.

Likely out again Thursday
Reid (lower body) was seen wearing a back brace during early pregame warmups and appears set to miss Thursday's contest versus San Diego, Jim Meehan of The Spokane Spokesman-Review...
Impact
Reid missed Saturday's win against Pepperdine after he exited with a lower-back injury last Thursday against Loyola Marymount. Across his 21 appearances off the bench this season, the 7-foot sophomore has posted 2.2 points and 1.2 rebounds while playing 5.0 minutes per game. Reid's next opportunity to suit up will arrive Saturday versus St. Mary's.

Not playing Saturday
Reid won't play Saturday against Pepperdine, Theo Lawson of The Spokane Spokesman-Review reports.
Impact
Reid exited Thursday's win over Loyola Marymount with an apparent lower body injury after a hard fall, and given the quick turnaround, his absence shouldn't be a surprise. Reid's next chance to play will come Thursday against San Diego.
