Transfers to UC Irvine Saran (lower body) is transferring to UC Irvine, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Impact Saran will return to UC Irvine where he spent he averaged 10.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists across 31 games during his freshman season in 2023 prior to transferring to Stanford ahead of the 2024 campaign. The 6-foot-4 guard was limited to just five games with the Cardinals last season due to a lower body injury.

Gone portaling Saran has entered the NCAA transfer portal, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact Saran will depart from Stanford after spending one season with the Cardinal. The 6-foot-4 sophomore missed the majority of the season with a lower body injury, appearing in just five games. Saran last saw significant usage with UC-Irvine as a freshman, averaging 10 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 0.9 steals on 19.1 minutes per game (31 games).
