Impact Forsythe suffered an ankle injury against UM-Kansas City on Dec. 16, and the guard will now be forced to miss his first game of the season. His most likely return date is reportedly Jan. 3 when the Sooners begin conference play against Ole Miss, and that would mean he's likely out on Dec. 29 against Mississippi Valley State as well.

Suffers ankle injury Forsythe (ankle) exited Tuesday's 89-67 win over UM-Kansas City with an ankle injury, Carson Field of SI.com reports.

Impact Forsythe, who was averaging 5.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 0.8 steals off the bench coming into Tuesday's game (10 games), left early with an ankle injury against the Roos. The 6-foot-2 sophomore's status for Monday's game against Stetson remains unclear at this time.

Impact Forsythe was a brutal 1-of-8 from the field, but his perfect performance at the free-throw line salvaged his final stat-line. The Sooners struggled mightily against the No. 1 team in the nation, and Forsythe was no exception.
