Finishing career at Niagara Mitchell announced Tuesday via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to Niagara, joining the program as a transfer from Brown.

Impact He'll reconnect in Niagara with assistant coach Antone Gray, who was previously a member of the Brown staff. Mitchell will be a fifth-year senior in 2022-23 and is coming off a 2021-22 campaign in which he started in 22 of his 29 appearances for Brown and averaged 3.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in 19.8 minutes per contest.

Leaving Brown Mitchell entered the transfer portal Thursday and intends to leave Brown as a graduate transfer, VerbalCommits.com reports.

Impact Mitchell may have been interested in sticking around at Brown for his remaining two years of eligibility, but because he earned his degree at the university and the Ivy League only allows undergraduate players to compete, he'll head elsewhere ahead of the 2022-23 season. The 6-foot-6, 210-pound wing started in 22 of his 29 appearances for Brown this past season, averaging 3.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in 19.8 minutes per contest.
