Walton scores 17 to lift Wake Forest past Towson in NIT
Dallas Walton had 17 points as Wake Forest topped Towson 74-64 in the first round of the NIT

Associated Press
Puts up 22 points in win
Walton closed with 22 points (8-9 FG, 4-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 26 minutes during Saturday's 99-77 victory over Louisville.
Impact
Wake Forest had an impressive performance as a team against the Cardinals, but Walton's performance was certainly worth standing out since the 22-point output represented a season-high mark for him by a wide margin. Walton averaged 10.0 points per game across eight February appearances.

Comes close to double-double
Walton finished with 10 points (2-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-7 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and three blocks over 26 minutes during Monday's 87-57 win over Boston College.
Impact
Walton ended just three boards away from putting up a double-double, and while his offensive struggles and inconsistencies are both noticeable, the fact that he's scored in double digits in two of his last three games is encouraging. He's averaging 7.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game across eight contests this month.

Swats four shots Saturday
Walton recorded 14 points (6-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and four blocks across 25 minutes during Saturday's 79-53 win over USC Upstate.
Impact
Walton only missed two shots and recorded his second straight game with 10 or more points, but he also tied his season-best output in terms of blocks. A player capable of delivering good numbers on both ends of the court, he's averaging 7.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game -- all three are career-best numbers for him.

ROTOWIRE
Best game of season thus far
Walton ended with 17 points (7-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal over 31 minutes during Saturday's 80-61 victory over Virginia Tech.
Impact
Walton has been Wake Forest's starting center this season but hasn't been much of an asset from a fantasy perspective, with only two games scoring in double digits and just one game with 10 or more rebounds. This 17-point output was a season-high mark for him, and he's averaging career-high marks in both points (7.0) and rebounds (5.1) per game in his first season with the team following a transfer from Colorado.

Back in starting lineup
Walton is starting Saturday's game against Washington State.
Impact
Walton returned on Thursday from a six game absence due to a lower leg injury. He will now return to the starting lineup after coming off the bench in his first game back.

ROTOWIRE
Scores six in return
Walton (lower leg) had six points (2-6 FG, 2-2 FT) and a rebound across 12 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's 84-80 loss to Washington.
Impact
While Walton was able to return from a six-game absence, he was a non-factor from a fantasy standpoint. Jeriah Horne kept his spot in the starting lineup and scored a season-high 24 points, but it wasn't enough to prevent a bad loss from going on Colorado's resume. Nonetheless, Walton's role should eventually grow back to his old timeshare with Evan Battey, provided he suffers no setbacks with his leg injury.

Expected back Wednesday
Walton (lower leg) is expected to rejoin the action Wednesday against Washington, Pat Rooney of the Boulder Daily Camera reports.
Impact
This outcome for Walton isn't particularly surprising after he was dressed and went through warmups prior to Saturday's tilt versus Stanford. The senior big man has started each of his eight appearances this season, averaging 17 minutes, and figures to regain a starting spot when his conditioning is up to speed.

Going through warmups
Walton (lower leg) is dressed and going through warmups ahead of Saturday's game against Stanford, Pat Rooney of the Boulder Daily Camera reports.
Impact
Walton was reportedly ruled out earlier today, but his appearance in warmups now suggests otherwise. The senior has missed the past five games due to a lower leg injury and was targeting next week for a return, but it could happen today if he's allowed to give it a go. Fantasy managers should follow the situation closely ahead of Saturday's 3:00 p.m. ET tipoff.

Set to return next week
Walton (lower leg) is out for Saturday's game against Stanford but will return next week, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact
Walton started the first eight games of the season for the Buffs but has missed the last five with a lower leg issue. The good news is that the 7-0 senior is expected to return next week although it's unclear if he'll first suit up Wednesday against Washington or Saturday against Washington State.

ROTOWIRE
Set for another absence
Walton (lower leg) is in line to miss Saturday's game against Stanford, Pat Rooney of the Boulder Daily Camera reports.
Impact
Walton continues to tend to a lower leg issue that has prevented him from playing since late December. When healthy, the seven-footer figures to work his way back into a starting role for the Buffs. However, it doesn't appear he's going to gain the necessary clearance for Saturday's contest and it's unclear exactly how far off his return may be.

ROTOWIRE
Out again Thursday
Walton (lower leg) will not play in Thursday's game against Cal, Pat Rooney of the Boulder Daily Camera reports.
Impact
Walton will miss his fifth straight game due to a lower leg injury. Coach Tad Boyle was hopeful that his seven-footer would be able to go on Saturday when they take on Stanford. Walton is averaging 9.6 points and 3.0 rebounds per game this season.

ROTOWIRE
Set for fourth straight absence
Colorado head coach Tad Boyle said Walton (lower leg) won't be available for Monday's game against Utah, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact
Walton will be sidelined for a fourth straight contest while he continues to recover from the leg injury. Jeriah Horne should continue to stick as a starter in the frontcourt alongside Evan Battey after averaging 12.3 points and 4.7 boards in 30.0 minutes per contest while Walton has sat out the past three contests.

ROTOWIRE
Won't return Thursday
Walton (leg) won't return to action Thursday against Oregon, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact
A lower-leg issue has seen Walton miss a pair of games already and will cause him to miss at least one more. Whether or not he's able to return Saturday against Oregon State remains to be seen. Jeriah Horne has been starting in his absence and will likely continue to do so Thursday.

Dealing with leg injury
Walton has missed back-to-back games for the Buffaloes, and Pat Rooney of BuffZone.com reports that it is due to a lower-leg injury.
Impact
Walton had started the first eight games of the season for Colorado, but with a lengthy history of ACL tears, the Buffaloes will take a conservative approach with any lower-body issues the seven-foot senior is experiencing. Colorado is scheduled to host Oregon on Thursday, but if Walton remains sidelined, Jeriah Horne would presumably make his third consecutive start in his stead. Evan Battey would also presumably be asked to continue taking on a higher minutes workload.

ROTOWIRE
Not starting Thursday
Walton is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against USC, Pat Rooney of the Boulder Daily Camera reports.
Impact
This change for the Buffs comes as a bit of a surprise after Walton has averaged 9.6 points while starting every game leading into Thursday's matchup. There have been no reports indicating that he is not available for the tilt, so he figures to see time off the bench. Jeriah Horne will take his spot in the starting five.

Scores career-high 22 in win
Walton posted 22 points (6-7 FG, 0-0 3Pt, 10-10 FT), three rebounds and zero assists across 17 minutes in Sunday's 92-69 win over Washington.
Impact
Walton had an efficient performance, missing only one shot while contributing a career-high 22 points in just 17 minutes of action. The Buffaloes' center is not much of a rebound threat despite his size, but his shooting has improved dramatically from 41 percent last season to 75 percent this year.
