Impact Swain put together his third double-double of the season in the win over the Bulldogs, and he added on a huge three steals to keep the Musketeers rolling. The 6-foot-8 sophomore has been solid as of late, scoring double-digit points in five of his last six games. He'll need to be a force in the paint once against as Xavier aims to close out the regular season with a win against Providence this Saturday.

Back in starting five Swain will start Saturday's game versus DePaul, Shelby Dermer of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Impact Swain slid to the bench for Tuesday's game versus St. John's, with Zach Freemantle getting the nod with the starting unit, but it appears Xavier will revert back to the previous starting unit, with Swain checking in the four and Jerome Hunter serving as the five.

Impact The sophomore guard was moved to the bench with star Zach Freemantle back as a starter in the loss to the Johnnies. Even as Swain was the sixth-man for the Musketeers, he still dropped 14 points, which tied his season-best. As Xavier navigates through even tougher conference matchups moving forward, Swain could be put back in the starting lineup to make up for lacking performances by other regular starters.

Impact Swain matched his season-high of 14 points against the Gamecocks, but it was arguably his best performance of the year as the Musketeers actually had to work for the win contrarily to previous matchups. The 6-foot-8 sophomore now averages 9.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game on the year, with his minutes only increasing as of late.

Impact Swain recently underwent a successful appendectomy, a surgical removal of an appendix, which will cause him to sit out Xavier's game Wednesday at Butler and possibly more matchups. Ideally for the Musketeers, they can have Swain available before their 2023-24 season ends Saturday against Marquette, though his availability is far from certain.

Impact Swain did it all Friday, making two-way contributions while trailing only Quincy Olivari (17 points) in scoring. The true freshman was a four-star recruit and brings great size on the wings at 6-foot-7. His role might fluctuate, but he's worth monitoring.
