Granted eligibility temporarily A Charleston court approved a temporary injunction that will temporarily grant Hickman eligibility until the NCAA makes a final ruling on his pending medical hardship waiver, Scott...
Impact The NCAA is slated to make a ruling on Hickman's waiver request Nov. 25, but in the meantime, he'll be able to suit up for Charleston. Hickman was limited to 13 appearances with Cincinnati last season due to a foot injury that required surgery. Considering he hasn't played in a game since Jan. 7, 2025, Hickman's minutes could be monitored.
NOVEMBER 18 • ROTOWIRE
Ineligible to play Hickman (foot/ineligible) remains out for the time being and will miss more time aside from Friday's game against Liberty, Jeff Goodman of On3.com.
Impact Hickman received a waiver for an additional year of eligibility this offseason, but it seems the NCAA has reversed course and has now deemed him ineligible. It's unclear when he'll be able to return to the court.
NOVEMBER 7 • ROTOWIRE
No action in opener Hickman (foot) did not see the court in Monday's 79-58 victory over Tusculum.
Impact Hickman received a waiver for an additional year of eligibility this offseason and has chosen to spend it with College of Charleston, but he wasn't part of the 11-man rotation in the season opener. He's still listed on the team roster, so his absence could be attributed to his recovery from February foot surgery. Given he was a double-digit scorer and regular starter at Bradley, and he made the Cincinnati rotation before his season was cut short by injury, he'll presumably have a role for the Cougars once healthy. His next chance to take the court will be Friday at Liberty.
NOVEMBER 3 • ROTOWIRE
Lands with College of Charleston Hickman has committed to joining Charleston for the 2025-26 campaign, Jeff Goodman of TheFieldof68.com reports.
Impact After playing one season with Cincinnati, Hickman will get a fresh start with a new program for what could be his final year. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 4.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists on 19.8 minutes across 13 games.

Entering transfer portal Hickman has entered the NCAA transfer portal after receiving a waiver for an additional year of eligibility, per Keegan Nickoson of BearcatJournal.com.
Impact Hickman will enter the portal following a single season with Cincinnati. The 6-foot-3 senior received an eligibility waiver from the NCAA granting him an additional year of eligibility after suffering a foot injury in January. The former Bradley transfer averaged 4.3 points and 2.5 rebounds per game for the Bearcats this past season before suffering his injury.
APRIL 10 • ROTOWIRE
Undergoes surgery Hickman (foot) had surgery on his foot Wednesday, Keegan Nickoson of BearcatJournal.com reports.
Impact Hickman, who has missed the last 12 games due to his foot injury, had surgery on his foot which will cost him the remainder of the season. He broke his foot in mid-December and played five of the next six games on that broken foot, playing 12.8 minutes per game over that stretch. Head coach Wes Miller said the injury was worse than they thought it was and Hickman probably should have gotten surgery earlier. Hickman may have played his last collegiate basketball game unless he is granted a waiver from the NCAA.
FEBRUARY 20 • ROTOWIRE
DNP against Mountaineers Hickman (foot) did not play in Cincinnati's 63-50 loss to West Virginia on Sunday.
Impact Hickamn was previously listed as a game-time decision after missing each of the team's last six games with a foot injury, but he was downgraded prior to tip-off. The 6-foot-3 senior has struggled since Thanksgiving while dealing with a nagging foot injury and will be hoping to make his return soon, with his next chance coming against UCF on Wednesday.
FEBRUARY 2 • ROTOWIRE
Ramping back up in practice Head coach Wes Miller revealed that Hickman (foot) has been shooting and the staff is working to get him back in practice, per Keegan Nickoson of BearcatJournal.com.
Impact Hickman has missed each of the last six contests after being ruled out indefinitely with a foot injury, so this is certainly welcome news for the Bearcats. The 6-foot-3 senior got off to a hot start on the season as he scored double-digit points in three of the team's first five games, but scored just 13 total points across eight games prior to his injury. He will hope to return to his early season form when he makes his way back to the floor, with Sunday's matchup against West Virginia serving as his next opportunity.
JANUARY 30 • ROTOWIRE
Out indefinitely Hickman (foot) is out indefinitely, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact It was last reported that Hickman, who's missed Cincinnati's last two games, wasn't practicing with the Bearcats. Now, the senior guard is out indefinitely and there's no timetable for his return from a foot ailment. Hickman averages 4.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
JANUARY 18 • ROTOWIRE
Didn't practice this past week Cincinnati's head coach Wes Miller said Hickman didn't practice this week due to a foot injury, Neil Meyer of frontofficenews reports.
Impact Hickman missing the entire week's practice leading up to Saturday's loss to Kansas led to him missing the outing as well. The severity of the senior guard's injury is not fully known, but Miller did say, "We have to get him healthy." This mean's Hickman's status for this upcoming Wednesday's game at Colorado remains questionable.
JANUARY 11 • ROTOWIRE
Available Tuesday Hickman (undisclosed) will be available for Tuesday's game against Baylor, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact Hickman, who exited Saturday's game against Arizona with an undisclosed injury, will be available for the Bearcats on Tuesday. The 6-foot-3 senior transfer from Bradley has seen action in 12 games this season (seven starts), averaging 4.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.7 steals on 20.6 minutes per game.
JANUARY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Exits Arizona game Hickman (undisclosed) left Cincinnati's clash with Arizona on Saturday and didn't return, Keegan Nickoson of BearcatJournal.com reports.
Impact Hickman didn't log a statistic before being forced to exit the game. He reportedly limped off the court and headed for the locker room, not to return. That's not a great sign for the guard moving forward, but little is known about his injury at the moment. His next chance to play will come on Jan. 7 against Baylor.
JANUARY 4 • ROTOWIRE
Will play Monday Hickman (foot) will play in Monday's game against Kansas State, Keegan Nickoson of BearcatJournal.com reports.
Impact Hickman was spotted in warmups Monday and will suit up, although he'll be playing off the bench and not with the first unit. He's averaging 5.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game this season.
DECEMBER 30, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Warming up Monday Hickman (foot) is warming up ahead of Monday's game against Kansas State, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact Hickman didn't play versus Grambling due to a foot injury, but his return would provide a huge boost for the Bearcats. He's averaging 5.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game this season.
DECEMBER 30, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
DNP with foot injury Hickman (foot) was held out of Sunday's game against Grambling with a foot injury, per Russ Heltman of BearcatsTalk.com.
Impact Head coach Wes Miller indicated that Hickman is dealing with a foot injury, though it appears to be fairly minor. Miller also mentioned that the senior could have played throught he injury but was held out of Sunday's contest for precautionary measures. With the news that his absence was mostly precautionary, Hickman can likely be looked at as probable for next week's game against Kansas State.
DECEMBER 22, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Sent to bench Hickman will come off the bench for Cincinnati against Xavier on Saturday, Tyler Easterday of The News Record reports.
Impact Hickman will return to the bench now that Dan Skillings is at full capacity. The latter missed six straight games and returned in limited capacity on Dec. 8 against Howard. Hickman started those seven contests, but he'll return to a bench role after averaging 4.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in those games.
