Returning to Cal Poly Ward has withdrawn his name from the transfer portal and will return to Cal Poly for the 2026-27 season, according to The Portal Report.

Impact Ward entertained the idea of signing with another program for the 2026-27 campaign, but in the end, he'll return to Cal Poly. Ward averaged 14.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game in 2025-26, so having him back is a huge boost for Cal Poly.

Impact Ward blew up in his sophomore year at Cal-Poly San Luis Obispo, averaging 14.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists while starting 31 of 33 games. With two seasons of eligibility remaining, he should manage to take a jump in competition ahead of his junior campaign.
