GAME LOG

Fully cleared for basketball O'Connor (foot) has been fully cleared for basketball-related activities, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact Now that O'Connor is fully cleared, he can physically prep for his 2026-27 season, what would be the senior's third with George Mason. Last season was a wash due to an opening-night injury. Before then, O'Connor started and played 32 games, averaging 9.1 points on 44.8/37.6/80.4 shooting splits, 3.0 assists and 2.8 rebounds.
AUGUST 21 • ROTOWIRE
Out for remainder of season O'Connor (foot) is out for the remainder of the 2025-26 season, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact O'Connor hasn't played since the opener, and the senior guard has now officially been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign. Given the fact that he played just 15 minutes of basketball this season, O'Connor should secure a medical redshirt and return to action in 2026-27. In his lone full season with George Mason, he averaged 9.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists.
FEBRUARY 16 • ROTOWIRE
Hopeful to return to practice soon O'Connor (foot) is hopeful to return to practice soon, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact The senior guard reportedly hasn't practiced since he injured his foot in the opener, but he's getting closer and is hoping to return to practice soon. The preseason All-Atlantic 10 first-team selection would be a big boost for the Patriots upon his return, but it's still unclear when that may be. Considering he has yet to practice, it's safe to rule him out for Wednesday against Davidson.
JANUARY 27 • ROTOWIRE
Set to resume basketball activities O'Connor (foot) will resume basketball activities next week, per Ryan McCafferty of A10Talk.com.
Impact O'Connor hasn't played since the opener, but the senior guard is set to hit a big milestone in his road to recovery next week, resuming on-court activities. It remains to be seen when he'll manage to suit up for a game, but this is a positive update for O'Connor and George Mason.
JANUARY 20 • ROTOWIRE
Sheds walking boot O'Connor was spotted ahead of Sunday's game against Loyola (MD) without a walking boot, independent blog GMU Giant Killer reports.
Impact O'Connor underwent foot surgery in early November and has been sidelined since. While he still seems to have multiple steps to take before being cleared for game action, dropping the walking boot is a significant step in the right direction. He suffered the injury in George Mason's season opener and figures to play a major role when healthy.
DECEMBER 21, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Out several more weeks O'Connor (foot) will miss several more weeks due to a foot injury, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact O'Connor recently underwent surgery to repair a foot injury he suffered in the team's opener, but it seems as if he needs more time to fully recover. The 6-foot-5 guard was a productive player for George Mason last season, averaging 9.1 points and three assists per game across 36 contests for the Patriots. With the news of his extended absence, he likely will not be in line to return until mid-December at the earliest.
NOVEMBER 23, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Has surgery, return TBD O'Connor (foot) underwent surgery Thursday, and a timetable for return is unknown, Ryan McCafferty of A10 Talk reports.
Impact O'Connor suffered an unspecified foot injury during George Mason's season opener, and the guard underwent surgery shortly after. While it's unclear when he'll be able to return, it looks as though he'll be out for several weeks.
NOVEMBER 9, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Suffers foot injury in opener O'Connor was removed from the opener against Wofford with a foot injury, per Barstool George Mason.
Impact O'Connor posted four points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal across 15 minutes, but the starting guard was knocked out of Monday night's game. His status is now firmly up in the air for Friday against Winthrop.
NOVEMBER 4, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Not in starting lineup O'Connor is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against La Salle.
Impact O'Connor will come off the bench for the first time this season, as K.D. Johnson will get the start at point guard. O'Connor, a junior, is averaging 9.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game this season.
