Impact Pettiford exploded for 17 points, good for his highest scoring effort since Feb. 8 against UNC Asheville. The senior backed up star guard Kezza Giffa and scored 8.9 points per game throughout the season but averaged over 25 minutes per game in the Big South Tournament. He took advantage, scoring in double figures in all three games of the event on 50 percent shooting. Pettiford remains a threat primarily driving and in the mid-range, as he attempted just one three during the tournament.
