Fully cleared
Brown (shoulder) has been fully cleared for basketball activities, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact
Brown, a transfer from Ohio, missed the final three games of the Bobcats' season with a shoulder ailment. Prior to his injury, he put together a career year, averaging 13.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.3 steals while starting 29 games. The 6-foot-4 guard, now on a Florida Gators team looking to repeat as national champions, was hoping to be cleared by September and that's come to fruition. With no limitations, Brown is now ready to roll for head coach Todd Golden's squad and should be a significant part of the Gators' rotation during the 2025-2026 campaign.

Hopes to be cleared by September
Brown (shoulder) hopes to be fully cleared for basketball-related activities by September, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact
Back in March, Brown suffered a shoulder injury, which continues to affect him this August. But in less than one month, the guard looks to get clearance and establish himself as a legitimate option in Florida's top-heavy rotation. Boogie Fland, Xaivian Lee and Thomas Haugh are expected to be UF's primary perimeter going into their next season.

Scores 14 in return to action
Brown (shoulder) accumulated 14 points (5-5 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT) and two rebounds over 22 minutes during Monday's 88-78 loss to James Madison.
Impact
Brown missed the final 24 games last season after suffering a shoulder injury and finally made his return to the floor in Monday's opener. He had a very efficient day, scoring 14 points on just five shots. He played 22 minutes, the fewest among the Bobcats' starters, so it'll be interesting to see if that number goes up over time as he settles back into high-level basketball.

Impact
After missing the last three games due to an undisclosed injury, the freshman returned to the court, but was eased into action only seeing eight minutes of playing time. This shouldn't be the case moving forward, as Brown is averaging 16 minutes per game.
