Antoine Griezmann, rookie Harvey Sarajian power Orlando City to 3-0 victory over Toronto
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Antoine Griezmann scored for the eighth time in 10 matches, and rookie Harvey Sarajian notched his first goal and assist to spark Orlando City to a 3-0 victory over Toronto FC on Saturday night.
Maxime Crepeau finished with two saves in each half for Orlando City (10-11-4), which has won three in a row while extending its unbeaten streak to six. It was his fourth shutout in 24 starts this season.
Orlando City took a 1-0 lead into the second half when Griezmann scored in the first minute of stoppage time with assists from 20-year-old rookie defender Zakaria Taifi and Marco Pasalic. Taifi has three assists and Pašalić two.
Orlando City added an insurance goal in the 82nd minute when rookie forward Sarajian took a pass from Daryl Dike and scored in his seventh appearance — all as a substitute. Sarajian subbed in to the match two minutes prior to scoring. Dike picked up his second assist in six appearances after entering in the 65th minute.
Ivan Angulo found the net in the sixth minute of stoppage time to cap the scoring. Angulo's third goal came with assists from Sarajian and 19-year-old rookie forward Justin Ellis, who entered in the 70th before notching his 10th assist.
Luca Gavran turned away five shots for Toronto (6-8-11), which began the day one spot out of the final playoff berth in the Eastern Conference.
