ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Derek Robertson threw a touchdown pass, Jonny Messina kicked two field goals and Freddie Brock added a late scoring run to help Maine hold off Albany 19-16 in Colonial Athletic Association play on Saturday.

The Black Bears (3-4, 2-3) led 13-0 by the midway point of the second quarter when Messina sandwiched field goals covering 39 and 41 yards around Robertson's 15-yard scoring strike to Steve Petrick. The Great Danes (0-7, 0-5) didn't score until Dylan Burns' 28-yard field goal with 1:24 left before halftime.

Albany closed to within 13-9 in the fourth quarter on Jeff Undercuffler's 15-yard TD pass to LJ Wesneski, but Burns missed the point-after kick. Maine needed just four plays to answer, scoring on Brock's 20-yard run with 8:12 remaining in the game, before failing on a 2-point try to keep the lead at 10. Albany pulled within 19-16 on Karl Mofor's 2-yard TD run with 4:14 left. The Albany defense forced a three-and-out, but the Great Danes turned the ball over on downs on their final possession.

Robertson finished 14-of-26 passing for 182 yards for Maine. The Black Bears were held to 49 yards on the ground on 28 carries with 20 of those yards coming on Brock's late TD run.
