EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Boise State took a detour on the way to Autzen Stadium.

The Broncos' charter flight to Eugene on Friday ahead of their game at No. 2 Oregon was diverted north to Portland because of inclement weather.

The team's jet made multiple passes in an attempt to land at Eugene Airport. The facility's longer runway was closed because of construction.

After landing in Portland shortly after 3 p.m. local time, the Broncos waited for the busses to take them some 120 miles back to their hotel, arriving after 8 p.m.

The game against the Ducks was set for 12:30 p.m. local time on Saturday.
