Bascoe has 21 in Bucknell's 70-58 win over Holy Cross
LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Josh Bascoe scored 21 points as Bucknell beat Holy Cross 70-58 in a Patriot League opener on Wednesday night.
Bascoe was 7-of-14 shooting, including 2 for 5 from 3-point range, and went 5 for 7 from the line for the Bison (4-10, 1-0). Elvin Edmonds IV scored 14 points and added five rebounds and six assists. Ruot Bijiek also had 14 points and shot 4 for 6 from beyond the arc.
The Crusaders (3-11, 0-1) were led in scoring by Joseph Octave, who finished with 17 points. Holy Cross also got 16 points, eight rebounds, two steals and three blocks from Caleb Kenney. In addition, Will Batchelder had eight points and two steals.
