News: Foster (groin) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bengals, the Houston Chroncile's John McClain reports. Alfred Blue will start. Impact: The fact that the question of Foster's availability went all the way up to kickoff is an indication that the running back is not far away from being ready to return. If he's able to log some practice time next week, we could very well see him next Sunday at home against the Titans, though we'll of course track his practice participation throughout the week to get a better gauge on his status.(RotoWire, )

News: Though Foster (groin) is slated to test things out pre-game, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the running back is not expected to play Sunday against the Bengals. Impact: We'll verify Foster's status, either way, as Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff approaches, but if he is scratched, Alfred Blue would be in line to be Houston's lead back again this week, with Jonathan Grimes on hand to serve in a complementary role.(RotoWire, )

News: Foster (groin) did not practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports. Impact: Until we hear otherwise, Foster is considered a game-time decision for the contest, but two straight missed practices do not bode well for his Week 12 status. Fortunately for those considering Foster in fantasy lineups -- or top backup Alfred Blue for that matter -- the Texans kick off at 1:00 ET on Sunday.(RotoWire, )

News: Foster (groin) is looking like a game-day decision, the Houston Chronicle reports. "I'm sure we'll have to make a decision on game day. It's just something we have to wait out and see if gets better," said head coach Bill O'Brien. Impact: Foster didn't practice Thursday after being a limited participant Wednesday, though O'Brien was quick to point out that Thursday's non-participation was "no setback." Fantasy owners should note that this week's game against the Bengals kicks off at 1:00pm ET.(RotoWire, )

News: Foster (groin) did not practice Thursday, according to ESPN's Tania Ganguli. Impact: Foster practiced Wednesday in a limited fashion, so while coach Bill O'Brien indicated that the running back did not suffer any setbacks, the missed practice Thursday would seem to further bolster the notion that Foster is a true game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Bengals.(RotoWire, )
Thu. Nov 20, 2014
News: Foster (groin) remains day-to-day and will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Bengals, the Houston Chronicle reports. "It's something that we're going to have to see right up until game time," coach Bill O'Brien noted Thursday. "No setback. Just it really is, from one day to the next, just see how he's doing and I'm sure we'll have to make a decision on game day. It's just something that we've got to wait it out and see if it gets better." Impact: Fortunately for those considering Foster in Week 12, or Alfred Blue for that matter, the Texans kick off at 1:00 ET on Sunday. In the event that Foster can't play this weekend, Blue would once again be in line to be Houston's lead back, with Jonathan Grimes on hand in a reserve role.(RotoWire, )
Wed. Nov 19, 2014
News: Foster (groin) returned to practice Wednesday, according to ESPN's Tania Ganguli. Impact: Foster's return to the field Wednesday (he was officially limited) is clearly a positive development, though at this stage coach Bill O'Brien indicated that the running back is considered day-to-day by the Texans.(RotoWire, )

News: Foster (groin) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against the Browns, Drew Dougherty of houstontexans.com reports. Impact: Foster was previously listed as questionable, and a number of reports indicated that he was unlikely to play. Now that the veteran running back has officially been ruled out, Alfred Blue is expected to lead the Houston backfield, with Jonathan Grimes in a supporting role. Foster will hope to return for Week 12 against the Bengals.(RotoWire, )
Fri. Nov 14, 2014
News: Though coach Bill O'Brien indicated Friday that Foster (groin) is a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Browns, ESPN's Tania Ganguli suggests that it's doubtful that the running back -- who the Texans will list as questionable -- will play in the contest. Impact: That's a notion echoed by John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, and while Foster's official questionable designation suggests that there's some chance he could give it a go Sunday, such an outcome does not appear to be a high-percentage scenario at this stage. If Foster is forced to sit out Sunday's contest, Alfred Blue would be in line to head the Texans' Week 11 backfield. In any case, we'll continue to monitor the status of Foster as Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff approaches.(RotoWire, )
Fri. Nov 14, 2014
News: Coach Bill O'Brien indicated that Foster (groin) "did some things" Friday, but remains a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Browns, Drew Dougherty of houstontexans.com reports. Impact: Based on that, we'd expect Foster to draw an official questionable designation in advance of Sunday's game. Fortunately for those who normally depend on Foster, the Texans kick off at 1:00 ET. Alfred Blue is next in line for carries in the event that Foster is limited or out on Sunday.(RotoWire, )
Thu. Nov 13, 2014
News: Foster will miss Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns with a groin injury. Impact: Foster missed practice this week with the injury and was listed as questionable on Friday before the Texans announced that he was out on Saturday. Foster, who is second in the NFL with 822 yards rushing, was injured Nov. 2 against the Eagles before Houston's bye week. This will be the second game he's missed this season after sitting out in Week 3 with a hamstring injury. (STATS, 7:42pm)
Thu. Nov 13, 2014
News: Coach Bill O'Brien indicated Thursday that Foster (groin) is in line to be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Browns. Impact: Foster thus appears to be trending toward an official questionable designation Friday, though fortunately for those who normally rely on the running back, the Texans kick off at 1:00 ET on Sunday. Alfred Blue is next up for carries in the event that Foster is limited or out this weekend.(RotoWire, )
Wed. Nov 12, 2014
News: Foster (groin) did not practice Wednesday, the Houston Chronicle reports. Impact: It's notable that Foster and cornerback Kareem Jackson were the two Texans to miss practice Wednesday. For his part, coach Bill O'Brien relayed that Foster (groin) is "definitely day-to-day." Next up for carries in the event that Foster is limited or out Sunday against the Browns, is Alfred Blue.(RotoWire, )
Tue. Nov 11, 2014
News: Foster (groin) remains day-to-day but is expected to play in Week 11 against Cleveland, the Houston Chronicle reports. Impact: Most of the Texans that were wounded coming out of the Week 9 loss to Philadelphia are still considered day-to-day, including Foster, according to head coach Bill O'Brien, but given the team was on a bye in Week 10, there's been plenty of rest and time to heal. We'll get a good read on Foster during the practice week.(RotoWire, )
Mon. Nov 3, 2014
News: Foster rushed for 56 yards and added 63 yards and one touchdown receiving Sunday. Impact: Foster finished under 100 yards rushing for the first time in five games, but he picked up the slack through the air. Foster is a must-start every week.(STATS, 5:50pm)
