News: Foster (hamstring) acknowledges that he wasn't 100 percent in Sunday's game against the Bills, the Houston Chronicle reports. Impact: Though Foster had just eight carries for six rushing yards Sunday, he was able to add seven catches on 10 targets for 55 yards in the contest. While he admitted that he wasn't fully up to speed in Week 4, on the plus side, there were no reported setbacks with his hamstring. In any case, look for Foster -- who coach Bill O'Brien refers to as day-to-day -- to be limited at practice this week.(RotoWire, )

News: Foster was held to six yards on eight carries in the Texans' 23-17 win over Buffalo on Sunday, but he made up for it by catching seven passes for 55 yards. Impact: Foster topped 100 yards in his previous two games, so his Week 4 performance is uncommon. His effort, however, should be promising since he was more involved in the passing game than in previous contests this season.(STATS, 8:50pm)

News: Foster (hamstring) had eight carries for six rushing yards and seven catches on 10 targets for 55 receiving yards Sunday against the Bills. Impact: Foster was a game-time decision Sunday, but apparently showed enough in warmups to warrant the start. While his output on the ground was minimal, backup Alfred Blue finished with just nine yards on nine carries himself. Foster should get a bigger share of the carries as he gets healthier, though it's clear he's still not close to being 100 percent.(RotoWire, )

News: Foster is active and will play for the Houston Texans against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Impact: Foster missed last week's game with a hamstring injury.(STATS, 11:12am)

News: Foster (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Bills, Albert Breer of NFL Network reports. Impact: Foster emerged from warmups unscathed, but his ultimate workload will be contingent upon the health of his hamstring, according to Tania Ganguli of ESPN.com. Despite a difficult matchup (the Bills have yet to allow a score on the ground and have yielded just 3.3 YPC this season), Foster remains a must start on a weekly basis.(RotoWire, )

News: According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Foster (hamstring) is expected to suit up Sunday against the Bills. Impact: We'll continue to track Foster's status in advance of the Texans' 1:00 ET kickoff, but it appears as though he has a good shot to give it a go on Sunday, barring any setbacks in warm-ups.(RotoWire, )

News: Coach Bill O'Brien indicated that Foster (hamstring) is "definitely" a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Bills, Deepi Sidhu of HoustonTexans.com reports. Impact: The report notes that Foster will be worked out by the team Sunday prior to a call on his Week 4 status. Fortunately for those considering Foster this weekend, the Texans kick off at 1:00 ET. If Foster is out or limited Sunday, Alfred Blue would once again be in line to see added duties; he recorded 78 yards on 13 carries while filling in for Foster in Week 3.(RotoWire, )

News: When asked if he thought Foster (hamstring) would be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Bills, coach Bill O'Brien replied, "I would say so," Deepi Sidhu of HoustonTexans.com reports. Impact: We'll continue to monitor Foster's status, but an official questionable designation seems likely for the running back in advance of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff against the Bills. In the event that Foster -- who was limited at practice Thursday -- is out or limited Sunday, Alfred Blue would be next up for the Texans' Week 4 carries.(RotoWire, )

News: Foster (hamstring) remains "day-to-day", according to coach Bill O'Brien, the Texans' official site reports. "He did some things today," O'Brien noted after Wednesday's practice. "I really believe its day-to-day with him." Impact: Moreover, O'Brien indicated that Foster will work out before Sunday's game against Buffalo, at which time the team will decide whether or not the running back will suit up this weekend. Thus, until we hear otherwise, we'll view Foster as a game-time decision in advance of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff. Alfred Blue remains next up for carries in the event that Foster is unable to return to action in Week 4.(RotoWire, )

News: Foster (hamstring) indicated that he remains "day-to-day" after missing Sunday's loss to the Giants, the Texans' official site reports. Impact: Foster, who worked out prior to the game, indicated that his hamstring felt "good" Sunday, but evidently not good enough to play. His status will thus be worth tracking in advance of this coming Sunday's game against the Bills. In Foster's place in Week 3, Alfred Blue drew the start at running back for the Texans and recorded 78 yards on 13 carries.(RotoWire, )
Sun. Sep 21, 2014
News: Foster, the NFL's second leading rusher, was not active for the Texans' game against the New York Giants on Sunday. Impact: Foster was limited by a hamstring injury at practice this past week and was listed as questionable Friday. He worked out in the end zone before the kickoff. Foster had carried 55 times for 241 yards and a touchdown in Houston's first two games. Rookie Alfred Blue replaced him in the starting lineup. He gained 40 yards on 12 carries. (STATS, 10:52am)
Sep 21, 2014
News: Foster (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Giants, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Impact: Foster was questionable coming into the game, after limited practices all week and he just didn't show enough in warmups to risk playing while banged up. Alfred Blue is expected to lead the backfield, with Jonathan Grimes and Ronnie Brown also likely to get touches.(RotoWire, )
Sep 21, 2014
News: According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Foster (hamstring) looks like a long-shot to play Sunday against the Giants. Impact: We'll have confirmation of Foster's status, either way, in advance of the wave of first kickoffs Sunday, but in the event that Foster is unavailable, Alfred Blue would appear to be next in line for the Texans' carries, with Jonathan Grimes and Ronnie Brown also candidates to see added touches.(RotoWire, )
Fri. Sep 19, 2014
News: Foster (hamstring), who was limited at practice this week, is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants, according to ESPN's Tania Ganguli reports. Impact: Fortunately for those who hope to use Foster (who has recorded a league-high 55 carries to date) in Week 3, the Texans kick off at 1:00 ET on Sunday. Next up for carries in the event that Foster is limited at all Sunday, or scratched, are Alfred Blue and Jonathan Grimes.(RotoWire, )
Thu. Sep 18, 2014
News: Foster (hamstring) was limited at Thursday's practice, John McClain of The Houston Chronicle reports. Impact: Foster doesn't seem to be in much danger of missing Sunday's game against the Giants, but his Friday injury status will still be worth keeping an eye on. He has a league-high 55 carries through two games, and Texans coach Bill O'Brien acknowledged that the team may need to spread the carries around a bit more as the season wears on.(RotoWire, )
Wed. Sep 17, 2014
News: Foster (hamstring) was limited at practice Wednesday, ESPN.com reports. Impact: Foster checks in with a league-high 55 carries to date, with his limitations at practice Wednesday presumably maintenance-related.(RotoWire, )
Tue. Sep 16, 2014
News: Head coach Bill O'Brien said the coaching staff is paying attention to Foster's workload and may "spread the carries around a bit more" as the season moves forward, CSN Houston reports. "Certainly when you look at one player getting a ton of carries, that's something that you have to pay attention to as a staff," O'Brien said. Impact: Foster has carried the load out of the Texans' backfield in the first two games -- he has 55 of the 74 rushing attempts by Houston running backs. While O'Brien plans to moderate the workload as the team moves forward, he maintains they are doing what's necessary to win football games right now. It doesn't sound like Foster owners need to worry about Alfred Blue or Jonathan Grimes stealing carries in the short term unless an injury crops up.(RotoWire, )
Mon. Sep 15, 2014
News: Foster had 138 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries in Sunday's win over Oakland. Impact: That's two 100-yard efforts this season to match his 2013 total.(STATS, 4:58pm)
