News: Mayo, who tore his patellar tendon in Week 6, indicated that his injury rehab has been going well, the Boston Herald reports.
Impact: While Mayo -- who landed on IR with the injury -- indicated he's "right on schedule" in his recovery, the linebacker isn't sure if he will be ready in time for the Patriots' offseason workouts, which begin in April. Prior to suffering his knee injury, Mayo recorded 53 tackles and one sack in six games for the Patriots. Per WEEI.com, Mayo -- who is signed through the end of the 2017 campaign -- is a candidate to have his contract restructured this offseason, given his cap hit of $10.6 million next season.
