Tyson Kidd Says He's Still Limited by Neck Injury
Tyson Kidd has been out with a neck injury for well over a year now. He recently took to social media to address the situation.
Tyson Kidd was injured during a dark match against Samoa Joe on June 1 2015. The injury came during a muscle buster spot at the hands of Samoa Joe. The move was something Joe has performed hundreds, if not thousands of times over the years. The third generation WWE star underwent surgery to repair his injured neck on June 25 2015 and has been recovering since.
Kidd recently provided an update on his injury and his recovery. He tweeted the following message to the fans and followers.
I can’t feel my head or move my head the way I used to, but EVERY day I’m focused on my recovery pic.twitter.com/kmHVw0Gry3

We know that Kidd got a C1-C2 spinal fusion surgery. He is an incredibly gifted athlete and had a long career ahead of him when the injury struck. Before getting injured, he was paired with Cesaro and the duo was immensely popular with the WWE universe. They went on to capture the WWE World Tag Team titles as well. Kidd had really reinvigorated his character and his game at NXT. A few weeks ago, in an interview with Cesaro, Kidd’s former partner, Cesaro went on to state that the WWE should think about banning the muscle buster move. You can read the full interview here with GMA Network.
Would you be willing to wrestle Samoa Joe even after what happened — the incident with Tyson Kidd and the muscle buster?
Yes — maybe without the muscle buster. There’s a couple of moves outlawed in the WWE, and I think that one maybe be added. But I wrestled Samoa Joe before, and why not again? –
Cesaro has now been paired up with Sheamus. Kidd is an incredibly gifted athlete. We still don’t know if he will be able to return to the ring anytime soon. We wish him the best and a speedy recovery.
