There were few — if any — WrestleManias that saw the card conclude with the same euphoria among fans that WrestleMania XX produced.

The scene at Madison Square Garden in March of 2004 was pure, unadulterated joy. The championships were won by Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit, each capturing matches in dramatic fashion through riveting storylines that garnered great fan interest.

Sadly, the highs of that WrestleMania would soon be followed by tragedy.

On Nov. 13, 2005, Guerrero — a wrestler from a family that had produced multiple generations of sports entertainers — was found unconscious in his Minneapolis hotel room, and was pronounced dead when paramedics arrived at the scene. An autopsy revealed he died as a result of acute heart failure. He was 38 years old.
