Shelton Benjamin Says WWE Return Could Be in 4 to 6 Months


Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin took to Twitter to address fans about his recovery from a torn rotator cuff injury.
Shelton Benjamin was poised for a return to WWE when an ill-timed injury struck him. The former member of team Angle learned that he had been suffering from a torn rotator cuff while undergoing the medical examinations for this WWE return. He would then immediately undergo surgery. All this happened almost 3 months back and until now, the gold standard hasn’t provided an update to the fans.
However, he took to Twitter to address fans on his WWE return. Benjamin made it very clear that he would still return to WWE once he has recovered. The former intercontinental champion assured the fans that he was as eager as them to get back in the WWE.
He would also tell that doctors told him he would be able to make his return anywhere between the next 4 to 6 months.

It is hard to predict what the landscape of WWE 6 months from now. Earlier plans for Benjamin’s return were rumored to included a varsity stable alongside Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger. It is uncertain whether those plans would still be in discussion when he would eventually make his return.
However, it is a good news to know that Benjamin would still return to WWE at some point. SmackDown is in dire need of top-level talents for its main event scene. Someone of his caliber would fit in perfectly with the SmackDown roster. We wish him a speedy recovery.
