Seth Rollins is selected first overall in the WWE Draft
The first episode of SmackDown Live opened with the first five picks of the WWE Draft - and the current WWE Champion was not the first overall pick.
WWE Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon and general manager Mick Foley had the first pick of the WWE Draft Tuesday night, and they chose to make Seth Rollins the face of Raw.
With the second overall pick, SmackDown general manager Daniel Bryan selected Dean Ambrose, who is set to face Rollins in a WWE Championship rematch later in the show following their controversial match Monday night.
Foley followed up by taking current WWE Women's Champion Charlotte at No. 3, and selected the first of six NXT stars by picking Finn Balor fifth overall.
