Luke Harper Returns at WWE No Mercy 2016 (Video)
At WWE No Mercy, Luke Harper made his shocking return to help Bray Wyatt defeat Randy Orton.
In March, Wyatt Family member Luke Harper went down with a knee injury, which had a timetable of about six months for a recovery. Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan would continue the stable until the WWE Draft in July. Wyatt and Rowan went to SmackDown, and Strowman got selected to Raw.
Harper had been declared a “free agent” by WWE, free to sign with Raw or SmackDown. We recently noted that he got cleared for a return, but it was unknown which brand he would join. He then appeared at a Raw live event.
However, Harper would make his WWE return at a SmackDown show. He would appear in the ring to surprise Randy Orton, Wyatt’s No Mercy pay-per-view opponent. The Eater of Worlds then hit Sister Abigail to win.

Harper’s return came as a surprise. It hadn’t previously been rumored, especially since he started showing up at Raw house shows. Given the internet age of wrestling, though, WWE may have pulled a fast one to fool fans.
With this return, two-thirds of The Wyatt Family will be together on SmackDown. It could have been three, but Erick Rowan recently got hurt and will be out for an indefinite period. So, it seems Wyatt and Harper will be a two-man show going forward, and will go head to head with Orton.
The Wyatt Family will seemingly go on once again. The stable keeps breaking down, but somehow finds ways to pick up the pieces and rebuild. Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper are the latest incarnations of the group, so how will they fare after No Mercy?
