
2 players leaving Rutgers women's team

Two members of the Rutgers women's basketball team are leaving the program.
The Big East Conference school announced Friday that guard Daisha Simmons and forward Briana Hutchen - both freshmen - have told coach C. Vivian Stringer they plan to transfer.
Simmons, from Jersey City, appeared in 32 games this past season, including four starts. She averaged 2.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.
Hutchen, from Baltimore, saw action in 28 games, averaging 1.2 points and 1.5 rebounds.
