Watch T.J. Dillashaw shock the world back at UFC 173
Before UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw faces off against Renan Barao this weekend at UFC Fight Night Chicago, take a look back at their first fight at UFC 173.
Dillashaw, who entered the bout as a severe underdog (as much as +765 on some Vegas sportsbooks), had won five of his previous six fights before UFC 173, with three of those wins coming by way of submission or knockout.
But standing across the Octagon from Dillashaw stood Barao, winner of 22 straight fights, including two over Dillashaw's Team Alpha Male teammate Urijah Faber. At the time, Barao was widely considered one of the best pound-for-pound fighters on the UFC roster, and a first-round TKO win over Faber at UFC 169 all but solified the claims.
What happened next was one of the greatest upsets -- if not the greatest -- to in UFC history. Barao looks for revenge, and to take his belt back, this Saturday at UFC Fight Night Chicago. All the action starts at 4:15 p.m. ET on UFC FIGHT PASS before moving over to FOX at 6 p.m. for more prelim action and the main card. You don't want to miss this rematch!
