Vitor Belfort to announce retirement after UFC 204
UFC legend Vitor Belfort could be retiring after his fight against Gegard Mousasi at UFC 204.
The big story line of UFC 204 is legend Dan Henderson looking to claim the one belt that has eluded him by defeating Michael Bisping in what he declared his final bout. Win or lose, Henderson has been adamant that this will be his last fight before retiring.
It looks like Henderson isn’t the only legend considering hanging it up after UFC 204. Breno Massena is reporting that Belfort will announce his retirement after his bout against Gegard Mousasi.
Per @BrenoMassena, Vitor Belfort is going to announce his retirement after his fight tonight at UFC 204.

It would be sad to see two legends walk away in the same night, but given their ages and presumably concerns for their healths it is understandable. During the fifth episode of the Embedded series for UFC 204, Belfort is seen saying he is too old for this.
At the time, the comment seemed innocent and just a common phrase used by people in all facets of life, now looks different.
Belfort recently fought for the title against then-champion Chris Weidman at UFC 187. He is 1-1 since that fight, including a TKO loss to Ronaldo Souza at UFC 198 in his last fight five months ago. At this point, he faces a long and uphill battle towards another shot at the title belt, one that might not be worth his health.
