Uriah Hall's new focus
STAY READY.
Uriah Hall was originally supposed to face Nick Ring at UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs Sonnen. Ring, an experienced and extremely durable fighter posed very specific challenges to Hall.
Then, as often happens in MMA, Ring was forced off the card due to a social security number issue and was replaced by Hall's fellow TUF 17 competitor, Josh Samman. Samman, like Ring, posed specific challenges that Hall would need to adjust his training camp for.
As fate would have it, they were not meant to fight and Samman succumbed to injury as well. Enter Hall's third opponent, John Howard, a man who has not fought for the UFC in roughly 2 years.
New opponent, new gameplan right? Wrong.
Uriah's whirlwind of supposed opponents has made him realize that the answer to preparing for a fight is not getting ready, it's staying ready.
