Uriah Hall replaces Michael Bisping, faces Robert Whittaker at UFC 193

Published Oct. 1, 2015 1:52 a.m. ET

Following a Performance of the Night-winning knockout last weekend, Uriah Hall once again will step up when needed in November against Robert Whittaker at UFC 193 in Australia.

UFC officials announced the fight late Wednesday night.

Hall steps in to replace Michael Bisping, who was forced to pull out of the fight due to an elbow injury that will require surgery. So Hall accepted just four days after beating Gegard Mousasi in Japan.

Hall pulled off one of the best finishes of the year when he blasted Mousasi with a spinning heel kick and then followed with a flying knee before getting the TKO stoppage.

Hall has picked up two wins in the past two months, including a victory over Oluwale Bambose in August. Now the former "Ultimate Fighter" runner-up will accept another big challenge as he faces Whittaker in the middleweight's home country.

Women's bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey will face Holly Holm in the main event while strawweight champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk takes on Valerie Letourneau in the co-main event.
